What it is
CapCut is ByteDance’s video editing app, used mostly for short-form social video on phone and desktop. The paid tier, CapCut Pro, adds AI effects, auto-captions, AutoCut and the stock library. The affiliate program pays on CapCut Pro subscriptions.
The deal
The rate turns on who the referred person already is. A brand-new account that then subscribes pays the top rate; someone who already had a free CapCut account and upgrades pays substantially less, so a lot depends on whether your audience is new to the app. The rate is the same for monthly and annual plans, which makes an annual referral worth roughly twelve times a monthly one for the same effort. CapCut’s landing page describes the commission as recurring, but its own payout rules frame the rate as applying to a referred user’s first subscription and the worked example on the page pays out once — treat the recurring wording carefully. The $15,000 figure CapCut markets the program with is an earnings claim; the page does not explain what it is based on.
Getting paid
Payment runs entirely through Impact, so the threshold and cadence are Impact’s rather than CapCut’s. Balances go out to a bank account or PayPal once a month, once you clear the low minimum. Nothing is payable until the referred subscriber is past their first month, because a refund or cancellation inside that window voids the commission.
The rules
You must be based in the US and over 18, and the subscription itself has to originate in the US, UK, Germany or France to count. Only first-time subscribers qualify — an existing paying customer earns nothing. Subscribing to Pro through your own link pays no commission and also forfeits the free trial. CapCut publishes no rules on paid search, trademark bidding or coupon traffic.
