What it is
ClickUp is an all-in-one work platform covering tasks, docs, goals, chat, whiteboards and AI agents in a single workspace, sold as a replacement for a stack of separate tools. It has a generous free tier and low per-seat paid plans. That pricing is why the affiliate program pays on signups rather than on subscription revenue.
The deal
This is a cost-per-action program, not a revenue share. You are paid when a referred user creates a workspace, verifies their email and does something in it within the next two days, so a free signup can earn while a paying customer who was already known to ClickUp earns nothing. What a signup is worth depends entirely on the referred user’s country, and the published bands are an order of magnitude apart, so where your audience lives decides your effective rate more than volume does. The tier ladder above starter rewards volume with discount codes, creative and support rather than a higher per-signup rate. Two published figures disagree: ClickUp’s own affiliate page still advertises a slightly lower per-referral ceiling than the rate card on PartnerStack, and it puts the tracking window at 30 days while PartnerStack’s generic listing says 90. ClickUp’s own terms are the safer assumption on the window, and PartnerStack is where your account is actually paid from.
Getting paid
Everything runs through PartnerStack, so commissions land in a PartnerStack balance and cash out by PayPal or Stripe, with alternatives offered in regions PayPal does not serve. Commissions are held for roughly a month and a half from the month they were tracked in before they can be withdrawn, then pay monthly. ClickUp’s terms mention a minimum withdrawal without publishing the number, and they can deduct commissions already paid if the referred customer is refunded or if you owe money on your own account.
The rules
A referral is disqualified if the user has ever been on a paid ClickUp plan, was already sourced by another partner or marketing channel, or is already a lead in ClickUp’s CRM. Your link also has to be the last paid marketing click before signup. Self-referrals, including referring your own organisation, do not count, and some countries are not commissionable at all. Brand bidding is barred in every form: no ClickUp trademarks, derivatives or misspellings as keywords, no Google Ads or Microsoft Ads pointing at clickup.com directly or through a redirect, and no bidding on competitors’ brand terms to drive traffic to ClickUp pages. Coupon sites and any code not issued by ClickUp need written approval, as does any paid advertising beyond sharing your link. No adult or illegal content. You must disclose the relationship near the link.
