What it is
Constant Contact is an email marketing platform aimed at small businesses, nonprofits and solo operators, with SMS, social ads and event tools bolted on. It has sold to the same audience for about three decades, so the people who convert are business owners rather than developers or large ecommerce teams.
The deal
This is a flat cost-per-action deal, not a revenue share. Constant Contact publishes exactly one payout: a fixed fee once a referral becomes a paying customer, and that customer has to get through at least one billing period before it counts. The FAQ also describes a second action type, a US or Canada free trial signup that sends a campaign, but no dollar figure for it appears anywhere on the site, so any per-lead number quoted elsewhere is unverified. The company states outright that affiliates get no share of ongoing revenue, so each customer pays once and then stops earning. No cookie window is published either; the agreement leaves tracking rules to Impact.
Getting paid
Payment runs through Impact on a monthly cycle. Constant Contact reviews referral quality during a locking period of one month and ten days, and its own FAQ warns a referral can take up to three months to turn into money. Because there is no company-wide threshold, how often you actually get paid depends on the minimum you set in Impact. Tax paperwork is a hard gate: if Impact does not have your W8 or W9 within ninety days of the action, the commission is forfeited.
The rules
You cannot use the Constant Contact name or logo in a domain name, in keyword bids, or in any search engine advertising, and links and creative have to be the ones they supply. Posting your own refunds, credits or discounts is barred unless the offer came through the program, and FTC disclosure is required on anything you publish that endorses the product. Approval is geography-limited: if Impact does not operate in your country, Constant Contact will not make an exception. Referrals do not count if they came through another Constant Contact partner program, are refunded or behind on payment, or have been active for less than thirty days.
