Decodo

Decodo, formerly Smartproxy, sells residential, mobile, ISP and datacenter proxies alongside scraping APIs.

What it is

Decodo, formerly Smartproxy, sells residential, mobile, ISP and datacenter proxies alongside scraping APIs. Its customers are mostly developers and data teams doing web scraping, price monitoring and market research. The affiliate program pays on new subscriptions.

The deal

The published rate is a maximum, not a flat rate, and Decodo does not say what the entry rate is or what moves you up it. There is a hard ceiling of $2,500 in total commission per referred customer, so the largest accounts stop paying at some point. Decodo does not state whether commission repeats on renewals and its terms are silent on the question, so treat it as payment on the sale rather than an income stream until the network dashboard tells you otherwise. Refunded, returned or rejected transactions pay nothing, and Decodo offers customers a 14-day money-back window, so some clawback is normal. Customers who pay in cryptocurrency are excluded from commission entirely, which matters more here than it would elsewhere given who buys proxies.

Getting paid

Decodo publishes no payout terms of its own. The program is administered through Impact, with Partnerize also named in the terms, and Decodo’s terms state plainly that thresholds, timing and payment methods are set by the network rather than by Decodo. You register through Impact, so its rules are the ones that apply to you.

The rules

Paid ads are permitted, but you cannot bid on the Decodo or Smartproxy brand names, or variations and misspellings of them, and you cannot use Decodo’s own URL as the display URL or direct-link to it from an ad. Ordering a subscription through your own link is prohibited, as is offering cashback, rewards or other incentives to close a sale without written approval. Your site must not mimic Decodo’s look or imply endorsement, and you have to disclose the commercial relationship clearly. Cookie stuffing, black-hat SEO, click manipulation and spam distribution are all grounds for closing the account.
