The deal
The headline rate is the top of a ladder, not the rate you start on. Fireflies’ own guide is explicit that new partners begin at the bottom tier and move up once referred monthly recurring revenue passes targets the company does not publish, so your real rate stays unknown until you are inside the dashboard. Commission repeats for a year per customer and then stops — it is recurring, not lifetime. If a referred customer upgrades, downgrades or changes seat count, the commission is recalculated against their new bill, which cuts both ways on a per-seat product.
Getting paid
PayPal is the only payout method Fireflies offers. Payments go out at the end of each quarter rather than monthly, so a sale made early in a quarter can sit for close to three months before it is paid. A balance floor applies before the first payment is released, which pushes that wait out further for anyone sending small volumes.
The rules
Fireflies publishes no rules on paid search, brand bidding or coupon sites. On signing clients up yourself, the only published guidance is that clients should be encouraged to use the referral link directly.
