What it is
Omio is a travel booking site for trains, buses, coaches and flights, strongest across Europe and expanding into the US and Asia. Travellers use it to compare operators on a route and book without going to each carrier separately. It is a booking engine, not a subscription product.
The deal
Omio publishes no rate at all. Its FAQ says the commission depends on which market you promote and the return the resulting bookings generate, and the affiliate agreement describes the payment as a percentage of the gross booking value including service fees and taxes. You have to ask the affiliate team what your rate would be before you can model any revenue, which makes this hard to compare against programs that publish numbers. Cancellations are not paid, and a partly cancelled booking is trimmed to the part that still stands, so refunds cut straight into earnings.
Getting paid
Payment is a bank transfer rather than a network wallet, and it arrives one to two months after Omio signs off on the invoice. There is a three-figure euro minimum; anything below it simply carries over to the next month. Between the threshold and the invoice-approval delay, this is a slow program for a small site to get money out of.
The rules
No search engine marketing on Omio’s or its transport partners’ trademarks, names or offers, including brand bidding, misspellings and meta tags, and no retargeting or similar route that sends traffic straight to Omio without coming through your own site. Omio marks cannot appear in a URL or domain name. Cashback and coupon sites need prior approval, and any coupon code Omio did not issue to you directly is invalid. Bookings driven by bots, toolbars, browser extensions, pop-ups, interstitials or cookie stuffing are reversed. Omio can audit your site at any time and suspend it if flagged changes are not made promptly.
What isn’t published
Omio publishes an affiliate page but not the full terms. Anything it doesn’t state — thresholds, payout timing, cookie window — is left blank here rather than guessed, and shows as a dash in comparisons.
