What it is

PureVPN is a consumer VPN service sold on monthly, one-year and two-year subscriptions. The affiliate program is run in-house rather than through a network. It is used mostly by VPN review sites, privacy blogs and tech YouTube channels.

The deal

What you earn on the first payment depends on which plan the customer buys. A monthly signup hands you the whole first charge, which looks dramatic but is a small amount of money. The longer plans pay a smaller share of a much larger number, so they are worth far more per sale. Every renewal after that pays a flat share, and PureVPN explicitly describes this as continuing for the lifetime of the customer, which is what makes the program worth ranking for rather than churning.

The catches are in the terms. Refunds, chargebacks and cancellations wipe out the commission, and anything already paid to you is deducted from your next payout. The advertised sign-up bonus is not automatic either, since it requires ten non-monthly sales inside a single month. PureVPN also reserves the right to change the published rates at any time.

Getting paid

Payment is not automatic. You have to log in and request it during the first ten days of the month, and the money then arrives in the second half of the following month, so a sale takes roughly a month and a half to become cash. PayPal has by far the lowest threshold; bank wire and USDT need five times as much banked before you can withdraw, and any transfer fee is deducted from your side.

The rules

You cannot bid on PureVPN brand keywords in any combination, and doing so costs you that month’s commission. Brand names in domains and domain extensions are banned. You cannot use your own link to buy a subscription for yourself. Email spam and off-topic comment spam are prohibited, and all affiliate links have to carry rel=“sponsored” or rel=“nofollow”.
