What it is
Skillshare is a subscription learning community for creative skills, with classes in illustration, design, photography and related fields. Access is sold as a paid membership covering the whole catalogue, usually after a free trial. Its audience is hobbyists and working creatives topping up practical skills.
The deal
Note that the published rate is half what most directories list. Skillshare’s own affiliate page and FAQ both state a fifth of revenue, capped at a fixed dollar amount per referral; third-party listings claiming double that are out of date. It pays once, on the revenue from a new member’s first paid membership, so it does not follow the customer through renewals. The dollar figure per conversion moves with the plan the member picks, which means annual sign-ups are worth several times a monthly one.
Attribution runs on a one-month click window, which is generous for a low-ticket consumer subscription but leaves no room for long consideration cycles.
Getting paid
The program runs on Impact, so your payment method and threshold are set in your Impact account rather than by Skillshare. Commissions lock at month end and then wait a further 30 days before payment, so expect roughly a two-month gap between a sign-up and the money arriving.
The rules
Skillshare publishes no promotion rules on its affiliate page beyond the eligibility bar: you need at least one demonstrated channel and audience that fits the brand, a free Skillshare account, and an Impact account. Anything about paid search, coupon sites or brand bidding is governed by the terms inside Impact rather than published on the site.
