Surfshark sells a consumer VPN alongside antivirus, breach alerts, private search, an identity generator and the data-removal service Incogni. One affiliate account covers the whole suite. It is a mainstream, heavily reviewed brand in a crowded category.

The deal

The headline rate is framed as a starting point on new sales, with custom payouts and CPA terms available if you send real volume. Surfshark publishes nothing about commission on renewals, so assume the rate covers the first purchase until an account manager says otherwise. Attribution is strictly last click: if your visitor clicks a rival affiliate’s link before buying, the other affiliate collects. Commissions can also be reversed later if a sale is judged fraudulent or duplicate.

Getting paid

Payouts are pull-based rather than automatic. You ask for them once your balance is over the threshold, and anything under it rolls forward. Affiliates with steady revenue can be invoiced at the start of each month without asking. The product carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, so a sale has to survive that window before it clears. Surfshark does not publish which payment methods it uses, and it makes you carry any transfer costs.

The rules

Paid search, paid social and retargeting all require written permission in advance, and there is a banned keyword list you are expected to load as negative keywords. Retargeting must use a seven-day inactivity window. You cannot post refunds, credits or discounts unless they came through the program. Links are barred from chat rooms, forums and bulletin boards. Buying a subscription through your own link is prohibited. The agreement also bars you from providing the same or similar services to Surfshark’s direct competitors during the term and for six months after it ends, which is worth reading closely if you run a VPN comparison site.
