What it is

ADP sells payroll, tax filing and HR outsourcing to businesses of every size, from one-person shops on its RUN product up to enterprise HCM. It is one of the largest payroll processors in the world, and the small business side is what most referral traffic points at.

The deal

ADP does not run a public affiliate program for publishers. What it publishes is a referral rewards program on its own portal, built for firms that introduce clients rather than sites that place links: a share of a referred payroll client’s first-year processing revenue for small companies, or a flat fee for larger payroll accounts and for its outsourced HR products, whichever applies. There is no tracking link, no cookie and no affiliate network. Referrals are submitted with a partner code you are issued, and you are only paid if you were directly involved in the introduction, meaning your employee made first contact, your marketing produced the appointment, or an ADP rep asked you to help close. The per-lead figures circulating on affiliate directories do not appear on any ADP page. The revenue share counts recurring payroll processing fees only, with setup, training, equipment, tax filing and non-payroll products stripped out, and total payment for any one client is capped. Accountants are steered to a different revenue share program with its own terms.

Getting paid

Awards are split into six monthly instalments paid in arrears, each landing roughly six weeks after ADP’s fiscal month close, and they stop early if the client cancels. Enrollment is not instant: ADP needs a signed W9 and, unless you have already supplied them, five qualified referrals up front, and you are only in the program once ADP emails confirmation. No payout threshold or payment method is published.

The rules

Any marketing material that names ADP has to be reviewed and approved in writing before you use it, and you cannot use the ADP name or logo in advertising, in a domain, or in any way implying endorsement without prior consent in each instance. You cannot take part if you are enrolled in another ADP referral, revenue share, acquisition or wholesale arrangement. Existing ADP clients earn nothing, and neither do prospects a third party referred before you.

What isn’t published

ADP publishes an affiliate page but not the full terms. Anything it doesn’t state — thresholds, payout timing, cookie window — is left blank here rather than guessed, and shows as a dash in comparisons.
