Flippa is a marketplace for buying and selling online businesses: ecommerce stores, content sites, SaaS products, apps and domains. Its referral program pays for introducing people who then list, sell or buy a business on the platform.
The deal
The cut is taken from Flippa’s own fee, not from the sale price, so what you earn tracks what Flippa charges rather than the headline transaction value. You are paid on the first eligible action the referred person takes, and only if it happens within a year of the referral. Listings need a price of at least $5,000 to qualify. Dormant Flippa users count as referrals again if they have not logged in for 180 days or more. Flippa can raise or lower the rate at its discretion. Note that Flippa also still hosts a separate, older Affiliate Program Agreement paying 15% with a 30-day cookie; the live sign-up path on the site is the 20% referral program, and the affiliate-program landing URL now redirects to it.
Getting paid
PartnerStack handles the payout and Flippa does not name the payment methods. Balances are reconciled at month end and normally land mid-month. Timing depends on when Flippa itself is paid: acquisitions and completed sales pay out within a month of Flippa receiving its success fee, while listing fees can take up to four months. Anything refunded or charged back before the payable date is not paid.
The rules
Coupon and discount sites are excluded, both as a promotion channel and as somewhere to share the link. You cannot bid on Flippa-related keywords in PPC campaigns, build a site that resembles Flippa or implies you are affiliated with it, or alter the logo. You must be in an eligible country, and Flippa does not publish the list. You cannot refer a company in your own group or anyone whose reward would benefit you personally, and PartnerStack’s risk screening can rule you out.
